Speed is the number everyone compares. For a business, the better questions are how fast it gets fixed, whether the upload keeps up with your calls and backups, and whether you share it with the street.
| Full fibre (FTTP) | Leased line | Backup connection | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speeds | Up to 1Gbps and beyond, where available | 100Mbps to 10Gbps, symmetrical | 4G or 5G, or a second line |
| Shared with others | Yes | No, dedicated to you | Yes |
| Fault fix | Typically 1 to 2 working days | Contracted, measured in hours | n/a |
| Install time | Days to weeks | Typically 60 to 90 working days | Days |
| Best for | Most offices up to around 30 people | Sites where an outage stops the business | Any site that can’t sit idle |
Older copper FTTC lines are still available where fibre isn’t, at up to 80Mbps down. We check every option at your postcode.
We usually know before you ring.
Every circuit we supply is linked in our platform to the router it feeds. When a line drops, the ticket shows straight away whether the fault is the circuit or the hardware, the carrier fault is raised by us, and failover keeps you working.
Line and router seen together
Removes the “is it us or them” delay that slows most outage fixes.
We raise and chase the fault
You don’t sit on hold reading out a circuit reference.
Performance over time
Latency, packet loss and downtime per site, so “the internet’s been rubbish” becomes a graph and then a decision.
Managed router included
Leased lines come with a managed router at no extra charge.

Questions we get asked
What is a leased line?
A leased line is a dedicated internet connection reserved for one business, with matching upload and download speeds and a contracted fix time if it fails. It costs more than full fibre broadband but is far more resilient.
Do we need a leased line, or is full fibre enough?
It depends on what an outage costs. Full fibre is fast and affordable and suits most offices. A leased line buys dedicated bandwidth, matching upload and download, and a contracted fix time. If a day offline would cost more than the yearly difference, the maths decides.
How long does a leased line take?
Typically 60 to 90 working days, longer if building work is needed. We usually put an interim connection in so you are not waiting to move in.
Can you take over the lines we already have?
Often, depending on the contract. Where we can’t take over billing, we can still monitor the line and handle fault reporting for you.
Do you charge a fair-usage policy?
No. Business lines are unlimited.
